Overall Pleasant Stay

The location is a 6 mins walk from the closest metro station. The rooms are great for family travelers with sufficient equipments to cook simple meals if you don’t feel like eating out. We enjoyed our stay! :)

We stayed 3 nights and there wasn’t clear instructions on where we should gather the garbages…luckily we bumped into a staff who told us we could just leave them at the doors.

Wonderful

Great location and it was super quiet, too! It was very handy to the Ueno train station and metro stations. We could walk to the Ueno park. It also had a Starbucks around the corner for my morning coffee, and a 7-11 nearby for delicious sandwiches! The hotel had clean rooms with comfortable beds! And it had a great hot and steamy closed shower, too!

Good location. Hotel is clean and looks new. Walking distance to bar & restaurants.. and even shopping area. Nothing to complain will consider to book this hotel again if we visit Tokyo next time!

What would you highlight about Minn Ueno

Hidden gem in Ueno

The apartment was well sized as we were a group of 4 adults (incl grandparents) and 2 young kids (6 and 3). We had 2 rooms (sliding door partitions) and the kids slept on the sofa. The room configuration worked for us. There was also space for a dining table, as well as a small dressing table next to the balcony. As you enter the room there are 2 closets which can be used to store jackets and also your suitcases. The beds and pillows were very comfortable so we were pleasantly surprised. The laundry facilities were great - washing machine costs 300yen and includes detergent. Dryer is 100yen for 30 min (you'd most likely need at least 1h). While it was well used by the other guests, we were able to find a spare machine quite easily (busy in the evenings). Location was great as it was a short walk to the JR station as well as other subway lines. Ueno is a great location as a base for Disneyland (if not staying at the resort), Akihabara (about 1.5km walk) and Asakusa (15 to 20 min on subway). Downside is that Shibuya and Shinjuku are about 30 min away on JR live but we wanted to stay away from the hustle and bustle. Ueno was much quieter with plenty of shops and food if you didn't want to venture out. Also very close to Lawson which is around the corner as well as 7-11 not far from it as well.

Luggage storage facilities are available but be prepared to get in early or the room could be full by the time you get there. Also note that reception isn't always staffed so if the room is full, the door isn't shut and is accessible by anyone. Would have loved a bath in the bathroom.
